TechNet Virtual Lab: Exploring What's New in SQL Server 2016 Master Data Services
What you’ll learn in this lab
In this lab you will explore the new features delivered with SQL Server 2016 Master Data Services. This will involve exploring security improvements, exploring entity improvements for performance and history management, using the new user interface to define business rule extensions, resolving merge conflicts, managing approval workflows with changesets, configuring a derived hierarchy that traverses a many-to-many relationship, replicating entities between models with Entity Sync, and managing deleted members. Note: If you plan to also complete the lab titled Developing a SQL Server 2016 Master Data Services Solution, it is recommended that you complete that lab first. This lab will commence by restoring the solution developed in that lab.
What are Virtual Labs? TechNet Virtual Labs enable you to experience a software product or technology using a cloud based private virtual machine environment. You will be presented with a series of instructions, and access to one or more virtual machines, with no additional software or setup required.
